Abbamele 2 x 500 gr

Abbamele or Abbatu from the Salvatore Masala Farm is one of the oldest products in Sardinia. It is a honey derivative obtained following the honey extraction process. The residual wax contains honey, pollen and propolis and is washed with warm water. The mixture is then filtered and the remaining water is reduced over a low heat together with orange peel and fennel until it reaches a fairly dense consistency with a very dark color. Abbamele from the Salvatore Masala Farm is perfect to combine with fresh ricotta and cheeses of various ages, or to use as an ingredient in desserts.
