Giogu – Cannonau of Sardinia Doc Red

Giogu by the Demelas Family is a Cannonau di Sardegna Doc Rosso. “Giogu” means “game”, like the spinning top on the label that, in the past, grandparents built for their grandchildren; the string symbolizes the bond between generations. To play, you wrap it with a string, throw it by pulling it, and watch it spin. This is the metaphor of what adults must do: at a certain point they must let go of the little ones and accompany only with their gaze. Ruby red in color, the aromas are floral ones of rose, cherry, and spices, especially black pepper, which return on the sip, on a medium-structured body, fresh and savory.
