The history of the Oggianu winery begins with Angelo, the owner's grandfather, who started Malvasia cultivation in Magomadas in the 1950s. After Angelo's retirement, his son Emidio inherited part of the vineyard, continuing to produce high quality artisanal wine. In 2004, he officially bottled his wine, which was awarded Gambero Rosso's “Three Glasses” in 2012. Emidio, perfecting techniques of pruning, harvesting and winemaking with native yeasts, passed on his passion to his son, who continues to innovate the winery. Today, Malvasia Oggianu is renowned for its quality and longevity; annual production is limited to about 2,500 bottles. "Our mission is to produce only quality wines. It is possible to book tastings".
