Serena – Statuette of a Woman with Ittiri’s Costume

Serena is the statuette of a woman with Ittiri’s costume, and is created by Ceramiche Mola to show the party dress, "bestire ruju", used for weddings and, without significant variations, even on solemn occasions. Serena has to wear her elegant Ittiri’s costume with a rich set of jewelry, strictly fixed by tradition. Twenty large buttons (sa butonera), shaped as a pomegranate in silver filigree, decorate the jacket on the forearms, ten on each side. The Ittiri costume statuette, with its bright colours and accuracy in details, is a unique piece of art and creativity.
